During our lifetime our feet could walk the equivalent of four times around the world. As we now live longer, our feet take a lot more beating. Through fatigue and over a period of time, they encounter troubles. These troubles can cause a great deal of pain and disability.
The foot is a complex structure of 26 bones, 33 joints and over 100 muscles, tendons and ligaments with a network of veins, arteries and nerves. Whatever our age, we must take great care of our feet and ensure that they stay healthy.
Our toenails, certainly do protect the toes with the daily wear and tear. However, friction from our shoes, the level of physical activity, and the heat and moisture they are exposed to, can cause disorder on them - pain, itching and discoloration are just some of the signs of toenail problems.
